Title:   Euthynteria Block with Mason's Mark
Category:   Architecture Marble
Description:   Finished with anathyrosis on both ends.
Of the front, the lower part is left rough, the upper rough-picked but surrounded by a smooth band. On the top, a setting line 0.155m. back from the front; in front of this line the surface is smooth-dressed and worn; behind it, dressed with a toothed chisel. Cuttings for double T-clamps at either end, both of which retain traces of reuse. Dowel hole in middle, with pry hole and transverse setting line to match.
Mason's marks carefully cut on the top: Ε Δ Δ
Assigned to the Temple of Ares.
Pentelic marble.
