Title:   Relief Recut into Base
Category:   Architecture Marble
Description:   Fragment originally part of a relief that was later cut back to form bottom of base. Preserved traces of relief consist of raised band, a base; above, legs undraped left in profile, straight; right, bent at knee and full front; cut off at thighs. Base: square plinth; flat half round above followed by concave circle, flat fillet and flat half round i.e. scotia, torus, fillet, scotia. Workmanship and profile indicate late date for base.
White marble.
Context:   One of group of marbles found in late Roman fill.
