Title:   Mug Fragment: Patterned

Description:   Rim of a tankard.
Brown (mostly disappeared) on buff.
ADDENDA 2018: Single sherd to a large mug with flaring lipless rim with slightly hollowed lip. No other features are preserved. The exterior has a medium lip-band with two narrow bands running below it. The handle zone is panelled with side triglyphs filled with vertical zigzag. The interior is monochrome as preserved (but badly worn). The paint is thick and fairly evenly applied, but unevenly fired pale to dark brown. There are no obvious traces of use-wear or burning.
