Title:   Straight-sided Alabastron: Patterned

Description:   Fragment from squat jar with flaring rim, two or three handles on shoulder.
Dull black paint on yellowish clay - concentric semicircles on shoulder.
ADDENDA 2018: Two joining sherds to a straight-sided alabastron with a partially preserved horizontal handle attached to the shoulder.
The exterior decoration consists of two narrow bands at the juncture of the rim and the shoulder and a medium band below the shoulder carination. In the shoulder zone there are two rows of isolated concentric semicircles. The body is decorated with horizontal zigzag.
The paint is thick, evenly applied, and fired black. There are no traces of use-wear or burning.
