Description:   Inscribed fragment.
Broken at top, bottom not exposed.
A thin slab with mouldings down the two sides.
Mentions "σεμνοτατον συνεδριον" and punishment to someone for irreverence to gods to recipient of letter.
The slab is set into a poros base which in turns is set on bedrock; stele in original place, simply incorporated in face of Valereian wall without moving.
Imperial letter.
Hymettian marble.
Context:   Found built into the late Roman Fortification, just south of the Eleusinion.
