Description:   Well by Stoa Pier 8.
Mouth of well discovered in 1950 (p. 2287).
Dumped filling in the 4th c. B.C. but the bulk of the material of the 5th c. B.C.
Contents:   Fill contained much wood, bones, Mycenaean, Geometric, and Archaic pottery. From POU and dumped fill (Lot ΣΑ 366: 52 fine ware and 27 coarse ware sherds, including: 3 mugs with horizontal ribs (one, third to fourth quarter of 5th c. B.C.); Corinthian-type skyphos (second half 5th c. B.C.); attic-type skyphos (third quarter of 5th c. B.C. (?); 2 one-handlers 9for one, cf. Agora XII, no. 755, first to second quarter of 4th c. B.C.); 3 bowls (second half of 5th c. B.C.); fish-plate (Cf. Agora XII, no. 1070); lamp (Howland Type 21B).
Contamination: fragment with mature West Slope decoration.
