Description:   Fragment of raking sima, broken away at lower end. Only the curved upper part remains. Face heavily water-worn.
Of same scheme as A 1095 (ΚΚ 1250) and A 1096 (ΚΚ 1251).
Pentelic marble.
ADDENDA Line of fracture at edge opposite joint, plus heavy weathering ca. 0.075m. below top of joint both suggest that this is a flank sima (cf. weathering on A 1094 ca. 0.075m. below top of joint). (CNE, September 1963)

Context:   Removed from the wall of a tomb in the west peristyle of the Temple of Hephaistos.
