Title:   Slab Fragment from Stage Front
Category:   Architecture Marble
Description:   Upper left corner preserved in two joining fragments.
In top are traces of iron clamps, one to tie this slab to its backer, one to secure it to the background of a marble herm head. (In the case of the second clamp the original had split the slab and had to be replaces with a longer iron.)
This slab was set between herms of the type represented by S 1213 (ΩΔ 218).
From Odeion.
Greenish white (Karystos?) marble.
Context:   From marble pile in cavea.
