Title:   Ceiling Beam Fragments

Description:   a) One original end remains, with rough-picked surface; the molding was mitred at the corner. The piece comes from a lateral beam at the edge of the ceiling and so is rough-picked on the back. The front face is crowned by an ovolo with clear traces of painted egg and dart. In the top, a dowel hole 0.13m. from the end; and a roughly cut Β.
