Title:   Antefix Fragment: Plastic and Painted

Description:   Antefix in the form of a gorgoneion. About two-thirds of the antefix proper preserved. Fragment from the forelocks and the lower right part of the gorgoneion missing, minor chips.
A red and black painted gorgoneion on a red background. The hair, eyebrows and irises are black. The mouth, teeth, ears and eyes outlined in red. Inside of mouth, tongue and nose are red, two red dots on forehead, and one in front of preserved ear. White for the teeth.
Light purple to light red clay with mica.
