Small Jug?

Two-thirds of lower body preserved.

Lower body probably moldmade. Slightly recessed underside surrounded by low ridge. On body, convex long petals, with groove at base, ridge and row of beading at top. Wheelmade shoulder: stamped circles between broad grooves, above stamped ovolo. Appliqué leaf at lower handle attachment; possibly a double handle. Micaceous, reddish yellow fabric (5YR 6/6), possibly Attic; shiny black glaze inside and outside.

Somewhat similar stamping is found on a black-glazed feeder from Rhodes (ClRh IV, 1931, no. 3, p. 385, fig. 435).
