One handle and half of the other as well as large parts of body and neck restored; foot and rim chipped, part of underside missing.

Slight offset at base of body; slightly beveled resting surface, glazed, with scraped band at inner edge. No scraped groove on shoulder. Neck: opposing ivy garland with single ribbons at ends.

Main stem is two lines with wavy line between them; leaves on stems alternate with white dot rosettes. Shoulder: in center, pair of antithetical leaping dolphins at left and single dolphin leaping right at right, with white dot rosettes as spacers; spiral wave pattern running right, filled in white below; three lines with rows of dots between them. At left and right, grapevine running right with single ribbons at outer ends. Main stem a thick, straight line; leaves on stems alternate with bunches of grapes with dotted tendrils. Bunches of grapes above stem are upside down. No trace of white paint on one side of amphora. Painted circle around each handle attachment.

Lustrous black glaze, dull red on one side.
