Fragment of lid with part of brim and rim. Band on underside near rim. Max. dim. 0.081; est. diam. 0.14.

Eros (head, part of wings, right hand, feet missing) flying to right. In front of him, a fringed sash. Below, a reserved area that may be a stone. On brim, egg pattern with dots.

The composition may have been something like that on the lid of the unattributed pyxis Type C, Adolphseck 65 (CVA, Adolphseck 1 [Deutschland 11], pl. 42 [520]:1: women and Erotes; also the one found in a tomb at Aiolou and Sophokleou Streets in Athens (Δελτ 29, 1973--1974 [1979], pl. 92: ε).
