Rim and wall fragment. Glaze flaked and abraded in places. Max. dim. 0.05.

Man (most of head) to left. Just below rim, laurel wreath to left. At the far right, end of leaf from handle ornament.

For a laurel wreath on the rim, a rare ornament on this part of a skyphos, see Oxford 1966.709 connected with the Marlay Painter (ARV2 1281, ---; Paralip. 473); Oxford, Mississippi, ex Robinson by the Splanchnopt Painter (ARV2 899, 143); two unattributed: Adria B.394 (CVA, Adria 1 [Italia 28], pl. 20 [1268]:3) and Warsaw 142210 (CVA, Varsovie 3 [Pologne 6], pl. 46 [277]). The last has berries and is of the Corinthian type. The second is a hybrid, having the disparate handles of the Type B but the body of Type A.
