Two non-joining fragments of slightly outturned rim and wall. Max. dim. a) 0.081, b) 0.047.

Triptolemos. Fragment a (illustrated) shows on the left either Demeter or Persephone (legs missing from the knees down) to right, holding two torches. She wears a long chiton. Around her head is a wreath, and she is also decked out with a necklace and a bracelet around each wrist. In front of her is Triptolemos (right arm, lap) seated to left, dressed in a long chiton. He holds a phiale in his right hand. At his right is one snake of his throne. Next to him is a footed dish placed on a table or a stand, and to left, an upright leaf-shaped object. Above, at the lip, wreath. Fragment b gives more of the wreath and part of a palmette at the handle. Added clay (with traces of gilding): wreath, jewelry, dot on left shoulder of goddess; bands around shafts of torches; contour and decoration on phiale and footed dish; contour of leaflike object; wreath at lip. White (partly gone): flesh of goddess and Triptolemos; garments (there is only a trace of pink on the goddess' chiton). Dilute glaze: drawing on white flesh.
