Floor fragment with start of stem on underside. Glaze misfired on stem. Surface slightly worn. Max. dim. 0.069.
I (illustrated), warrior (head, right forearm and feet missing) to right, nude but for a helmet (tail of crest), carrying a round shield on his left arm (the artist omitted the arm band). Around the tondo, stopped-maeander pattern. A, start of upright leaf under handle. To the left of it, part of a fallen figure (just a little of his outstretched upper right arm remains); to right of leaf, base and start of pillar or stele(?). Preliminary sketch. Dilute glaze: muscles.
