Two non-joining fragments, a of lip and bowl, b of bowl. Reserved line on rim. Max. dim. a) 0.039, b) 0.051.

I, a little of the maeander pattern around the tondo. A (illustrated), youth leaving home. Fragment a preserves the wreathed head, right half of body, and right arm of a woman standing to left in a chiton and himation and holding a phiale in her right hand. In front of her is the right hand of a facing figure. Above:

Fragment b shows parts of two figures: on the left, drapery that may be more of the woman's himation and on the right, a man (head, left arm, lower legs, and feet missing) standing frontally, holding a staff. He wears a himation. Relief for most contours. White: inscription and wreath.

Not from the same cup as 1482; on the latter, the figures are slightly larger than they are on 1481. Perhaps these two cups were made as a pair.

The Fauvel Painter (ARV2 one 772, 4; ARV2 1285, 4).
