Fragment of lip, bowl, and floor with thickening for start of stem. Top of rim reserved. Glaze abraded and misfired around ornament and on figure next to it on outside; flaked slightly on inside. Max. dim. 0.112; est. outer diam. of tondo 0.105.

I, man or youth (legs) wearing a chlamys and boots and holding a spear in his right hand, a sheathed sword at his left side (end of scabbard). He stands frontally, probably with head turned to right toward the woman (a little drapery at the lower right). Below, reserved exergue. Two reserved lines for tondo border. A, satyr and maenads: maenad (left shoulder missing) in a chiton and himation, a sakkos on her head, stands frontally, head in profile to right; next are the lower legs and the end of the tail of a satyr to right, facing a maenad (foot, a little drapery). Between them is the end of a thyrsos. At the left, part of the palmette-and-tendril configuration at the handle. Below, two reserved lines. Preliminary sketch. Dilute glaze: boots; stripes on scabbard; drapery folds of warrior.
