I, satyr (most of filleted head, right shoulder, and upper part of right arm, a little of right thigh) reclining to left, chest frontal, head turned back. Above hangs a basket. Inscribed:
Reserved line for tondo border. Preliminary sketch. Relief contour. Dilute glaze: muscles. Red: fillet; inscription; strings of basket.
Probably by a painter from the Wider Circle of the Nikosthenes Painter. Some resemblance to the satyrs on Brussels A 201 (ARV2 133, 19) and the one on 1606.
