Three non-joining wall fragments. Glaze fired greenish on fragment d. Max. dim. a) 0.087, c) 0.03, d) 0.122. E. Vanderpool, Hesperia 15, 1946, pl. 37:53.
Satyr to right, playing the aulos. Fragment a (illustrated) shows the end of his beard, his arms, and his torso to the waist, and fragment c, a bit of his tail. On fragment d there is a narrow curved line of reserve (uncertain what: a tendril or vine[?]), and in the lower right, just above the maeander pattern, there is a bit of contour indicating the beginning of a figure, probably the heel of a foot. Below the figures, stopped-maeander pattern with cross-squares, a small dotted square in each reserved square. Preliminary sketch. Relief contour. Dilute glaze: muscles.
