Wall fragment. Glaze flaked in places. Max. dim. 0.076.

Symposion. At the left, a symposiast (back, part of decorated himation) reclining to right, seen from the back. On the right, part of the back of a similar symposiast.

Perhaps in the manner of the Kadmos Painter. The border of the himation is very close to that of the standing female figure on Pnyx P 45 a (Hesperia Suppl. X, p. 31, no. 118, pl. 9), which was connected by Talcott and Philippaki with the pelike in the manner of the Kadmos Painter, San Francisco, Legion of Honor 1925.365 = 1811 (ARV2 1187, ---, 1; Addenda 341). The drawing of the drapery folds on 376 compares favorably with that on the himation of Apollo on the latter vase.
