Athena with chariot, to right. All that remains of the goddess is her Corinthian helmet pushed back on her head and a little drapery. At the far right, just below the mastoi, are the forelocks and foreheads of the left-hand pole and left-hand trace horses. End of goad at lower break between Athena and team. On the shoulder at the junction with the neck, tongue pattern. On the neck, two addorsed palmettes with tendrils and concentric circles. Relief contour. Added clay: goad. White: mastoi; a few strokes on helmet crests; studs on headstalls; heart of palmette.
