A maenad, dressed in a chiton and himation, stands to right, holding a thyrsos and an ivy branch in her left hand, a phiale in her right from which she pours a libation. Around her head is a wreath. An ivy branch hangs out of the top of the thyrsos; another appears attached to the stalk. Above, key pattern to right. On the shoulder, rays; above, tongue pattern. Preliminary sketch. Relief contour. Dilute glaze: dots on chiton. White (flaked): wreath; ivy branches; libation.
