Title:   Alabaston Fragments: Patterned

Description:   Three fragment from squat jar with two or three handles on shoulder decorated with horizontal bands and marine animals. Reddish brown paint on buff.
ADDENDA 2018: Seventeen sherds mended into four non-joining sections to a large rounded alabastron with three partially preserved horizontal handles and a convex base with small concave depression in the center.
The exterior of the rim was monochrome. In the handle zone there was flower motif with no stamen and dotted exterior. The mid-body was decorated with three medium bands with fine line groups between them. The base is decorated with five narrow bands evenly spaced.
The interior of the rim is monochrome. The paint is thick, but rather unevenly applied, fired pale to dark brown. There are no traces of use-wear or burning.
