Description:   Inscribed fragment.
Inscribed face preserved, much worn, and possibly traces of back.
Reused as threshold block; on inscribed face, pivot hole, cutting for jamb, and the roughly-chiselled depression at left end, itself roughly recut.
Remains of eighteen (?) lines of the inscription preserved; stoichedon.
Letter spacing, vertically: ca. 0.016m.; letter spacing, horizontally: ca. 0.016m.
Pentelic marble.
ADDENDA M.B.W. (May 1977): End of a decree (?) followed in larger letters by a list of names, or by the text of a sacred law in columnar arangement. Back probably original; also perhaps right side.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Found in pre-war marble dump, in the southeastern part of the Market Square.
