Description: | Inscribed fragment. Upper left corner of thin stele with moulded border; left edge only of pedimental top preserved. Smooth back, rough picked left edge. Heading of Imperial Letter (?) of year 165, year in which Marcus Aurelius was imperor for third time (fourth time in next year 166) and Lucius Verus heald the tribune post for fifth time (lines 4 and 7) and received the title of Patrickios. In line 5, Lucius Verus showed also have the title "αρχιερευς μεγιστος". Pentelic marble. ADDENDA Joins to I 7173. Taken to the Epigraphical Museum on January 1971 and compared to EM 8402; does not belong. | |
