Title:   Prytany Decree Fragment

Description:   Fragment of inscribed stele.
Preserved at bottom and to full width.
Sides dressed with toothed chisel. Back rough picked, but worn smooth near top where there is a shallow rut worn by wagon wheels. The stele formed part of a late Roman street paving. The front part of the stele is in very bad preservation as the marble is very crumbling.
The lines of letters are visible but the letters themselves are most indistinct.
Hymettian marble.

Context:   Found in late Roman paving over fork of drain, east of the Tholos.
