Description:   Ridged and grooved rim, the outer ridge panelled by three cross strokes on either side.
On discus, rosette with pointed petals; ridged rings round filling hole.
Top of nozzle flattened; set off from rim by three small squares and an impressed circle on either side.
Handle solid; triple grooved above, double below.
On bottom, heart-shaped groove, enclosing an irregular "X".
Brownish-red wash.
Light red clay.
Type XXVIII (early type) of Corinth collection.
Context:   Well. Lamps L 578-586 listed in order in which they came out of the well.
