In relief in the middle, gorgoneion with protruding tongue. Around the edge, a double ring of raised dots. In the back, two very small holes, for attachment, near the center; and considerable remains of red sizing, for gold.
A button or a medallion from a necklace made as grave-jewelry, and originally gilded.
