Title:   Black Glaze Cup: Komast

Description:   Mended from many fragments; half the lip and nearly one-third of the body wall restored in plaster, together with one of the handles. Low flaring foot; deep bowl; narrow offset lip.
Inside black glazed with reserved line at upper edge of lip. A line of glaze around the top of the lip. The outside reserved from the lip to the lower line of the handle attachment, with a narrow band of glaze around the cup at the offset line. A narrow reserved band around the lower part of the body. Underside of foot unglazed, decorated with two concentric bands and a central dot.
Extremely fine, thin fabric; pinkish-buff clay. Firm lustrous black glaze.
