Title:   Two-Handled Cup: West Slope

Description:   Mended from many fragments; nearly one-third of body and rim missing, including one handle, of which the start of the attachment is preserved. Restored in plaster. Low moulded foot; sharply profiled body, the upper part sloping slightly inward; vertical band handle with a plastic mask as finger rest.
Thin metallic glaze overall. Checkerboards and diminishing squares around upper part. Scratched grooves bounding decorated zone and around foot. Decoration in clay-colored paint, with white for the alternate squares of the checkerboards.
Pinkish-buff clay.
Context:   Well, bottom, Roman context.
