Title:   Lekanis with Lid

Description:   a) Lekanis; fragmentary, with none of the bottom preserved. Rim with vertical inner flange, to receive lid; horizontal band handle set at rim level. Outside, rim, handle, and band below handle glazed. Inside, glazed, with a reserved band below lip; farther down reserved, with a narrow line of glaze.
b) Convex lid with downturned rim. The handle is missing.
Pink clay covered with creamy slip; wide and narrow bands of dull red to brownish glaze. The lid unglazed on the underside.
Context:   Well, late 5th. c. B.C.
