Title:   Kantharos: West Slope

Description:   Much mended; one handle, part of rim, and many fragments from sides, missing. Moulded foot, with a scratched groove between the degrees; the underside black; handle flat, with ivy leaf on top.
Between the handles, on both sides, a broad ivy garland, with both leaves and berries, done in clay-colored paint.
Thin fabric. Dull black glaze with metallic splotches, inside and out.
A similar fragmentary kantharos may be found in the tray.
Context:   Cistern, west passage.
