Title:   Black Figure Lekanis with Lid

Description:   Mended from many fragments. About one-third of the rim missing, also interior pieces. Alternate leopards (four) and sirens (five) walking right, to a group of two confronted sirens with a human figure between them. Careless fill ornament. White (badly preserved) on faces and breasts of sirens and face-markings and bellies of leopards. Red for body ornaments of both. Sides of handle-top slope inward to a sharp-edged undercutting; sharp ridge around stem. Underside of lid glazed save resting surface and band around center reserved and bordered with narrow red stripes; a red stripe near flange around outer edge, another half-way to center.
