Title:   Black Figure Skyphos

Description:   Depicts seated man and sphinx. Mended from many fragments. One handle completely gone, other pieces missing. Base complete. The man on either side sits with back to the preserved handle; on one side the sphinx confronts him, on the other it faces away left. Hastily painted, with a few lines of incision. Offset lip reserved on top. Heavy ring base with somewhat moulded ring at attachment to body; glazed underneath around sides but not on center. Place of attachment of missing handle vertically scored.
