Title:   Black Figure Skyphos Fragments

Description:   Depicts man seated beween confronted sphinxes. Part, mended from six fragments, gives one handle with rim above it and a good part of one side. Three other fragments join to give the two ends of the other handle and bit of rim. Two other non-joining fragments preserved, one giving part of the picture on the other side. Apparently repeated representation. The man is on a cross-legged stool. Behind the sphinxes, blob palmettes. Offset lip with reserved band inside top. Spreading base with concentric glaze bands underneath. Glaze crackled over preserved handle.
