Title:   Plate: West Slope

Description:   Fragments missing from floor; all of the vertical rim broken away, only a trace of the start preserved. Restored in plaster. Ring foot, grooved beneath, the groove marked by a scraped line. Flaring walls, with two broad scraped grooves just above the foot, and another below the rim. Decoration in thinned clay paint and white: on the underside of the foot, a double cross; between the lower grooves of the wall, large blobs; suspended from the upper of these grooves, jewelled necklaces; a dot rosette within the curve of the necklace.
Metallic black glaze outside; bright red to brown inside.
