Title:   Black Figure Amphora Fragment

Description:   Lower part only preserved; part of foot missing. Flaring foot, a red line around it. Above the foot, long rays; thin black with a red line about the rays and another below the panels. The width of the panels is not preserved.
A) The feet of four figures, three right, one left; one figure carried by another(?).
B) A leg, left; in front of it an upright. A little coarse incision.
Glaze considerably worn.
ADDENDA Small Panathenaic? The 8 feet could be, left to right: Umpire, first wrestler lifting second wrestler off the ground, athlete.
Context:   Well near middle of Tholos, upper fill, ca. 480-470 B.C.
