Title:   Black Glaze Oinochoe: Ribbed

Description:   Handle, chips from lip and base and small piece of wall missing. Ring foot; plump body, sharply contracted towards foot and neck; spreading trefoil lip; handle triangular in section. Neat vertical ribs on the body, except for a panel at the front. In the panel, painted in heavy added clay, an elaborate thymiaterion; traces of sizing for gilding. Painted around the neck, a necklace with hanging pendents; considerable traces of gold leaf.
Excellent black glaze; inside below neck and underside of foot, unglazed.
