Title:   Black Figure Lekythos Fragment

Description:   Mended from five pieces. Most of the plain back missing. Hare and hound shoulder decoration well preserved and neatly executed. Both animals have red collars. Round base of neck a hollow band painted red. Bacchic group of figured scene preserved but surface badly worn. A maenad dances between two satyrs who dance away from her looking back; she stretches a hand with clappers toward the right satyr and looks back left. Traces of accessory red.
Context:   Rectangular rockcut shaft.
