Title:   Black Glaze Amphora Fragments

Description:   From a small amphora, with high flat shoulder and long narrow neck, the body drawing sharply in below the shoulder. At upper break in neck, apparently a deep groove. Light ridge at junction of neck and shoulder. Handles from middle of neck to near edge of shoulder.
a) Parts of neck, shoulder and one handle.
b) Fragment of small flaring base with vertical face may belong. Worn red glaze inside and out.
Fine pinkish-buff clay; the inside carefully glazed; a band of glaze around the neck above the handle attachment, and neat drip beside them. Glaze black inside, red outside and on upper part of neck inside.
Context:   Well 6, upper fill, ca. 500 B.C.
