Title:   Red Figure Cup Fragments: Type C and Inscribed

Description:   a) Rim fragment shows the upper left side of a youth with a white-painted wreath and a long curl over his shoulder, facing left, and holding a patera in his right hand, toward which is outstretched the hand of another figure. In the field painted in white: Α Λ Ο
b) Lower part of a standing draped figure.
c) To the left, a bit of a similar figure; to the right, an arm and hand holding a staff.
Profile eye; relief contours for the features and principal outlines; reserved hairline. Somewhat grayed and splotchy; relief lines for interior drawing; dilute glaze only for the hair around the face. Good black glaze. On the inner edge of b) a trace of medallion frame with maeander.
