Title:   Black Figure Lekythos Fragments

Description:   Mended from three fragments. A fourth without figures, does not join. Inside unglazed. To the left, a woman (her head and most of her figure below the waist missing) holds out her right hand to a fragmentary, partly draped figure standing in front of her. In the field, vine filling ornament, from which hangs a quiver. Incision for details and added red for garment folds. The non-joining fragment comes from nearer to the bottom of the vase, and shows, below part of the white field, a light brown glaze band at the lower edge of the piece.
The clay buff to gray. The white slip hard and smooth, a dirty cream white.
