Title:   Red Figure Lekanis Lid Fragment

Description:   Mended from three fragments, about a third of the rim, from the base of the central knob to the flange, preserved. Inside, black glaze with metallic splotches; the lower edge of the flange reserved. On its outside ovolo and dot pattern. On the top, below a ring of dots, a woman rushes right, with a large taenia in her right hand and a timpanum in her left. To the left, the shoulder and left arm of another figure, carrying a mirror. No relief contours. Profile eye. Sloppy filling ornament.
