Title:   Black Figure Loutrophoros

Description:   Full profile preserved, missing pieces, including large piece of neck, of central scene, and of handle. Restored in plaster. Moulded base, slender eggy body, shoulder separated from neck by a ridge. Flaring lip set outside of neck; one vertical strap handle from shoulder to base of lip, two small loop handles rising vertically from shoulder. On neck, three mourning women, the head of the one to the left completely missing and most of the body of the one at the center.
A) Below, a funeral scene, with the deceased laid out on the bed, two standing figures behind the couch and another at either end, the one to the left running.
B) Five draped figures, moving right.
Below figured zone a band of widely spaced rays.
Surface badly worn; careless incised lines; no certain traces of white paint; a few spots of red.
