Title:   Red Figure Pyxis Fragment

Description:   Part of the rim and wall preserved. Vertical wall, small flaring rim, with a short inner vertical flange. Parts of three figures preserved. To the left, the lower arm and hand of a woman who holds a bit of drapery up from her shoulder. Facing her, left, Eros, head and part of shoulder preserved; his large wings rise above his head. He wears a white fillet with two very long spikes. To the right, part of the head and shoulder of a woman(?) wearing a wreath, looking left. A white branch in the field between her and Eros. In the field above, between Eros and the first figure, written in white: ΚΑΛΗ.
Inside, good black glaze, the top of the rim and the outside of the flange dull red. Glaze outside dull black; the drawing glaze much peeled. A narrow reserved line just below the rim. Eros' profile seems to have had relief contour. Brown details on his wings.
