Title:   Red Figure Krater Fragment

Description:   Mended from two pieces; slight horizontal and vertical curve; thin black glaze inside. Probably from the wall of a krater.
A female figure facing right, with left arm outstretched, is clad in a sleeveless chiton, decorated with small crosses. Around her head a narrow band with a row of dots above it, from which rise tall slender spikes drawn some in relief lines and some, like the circlet in red paint. Profile eye with upper eyelashes indicated; relief contour except for reserved hair line; dilute glaze for the crosses on the garment, for the eyelashes and the hair at the back of the neck.
