Description:   Two fragments from upper wall of a large vase, glazed at least to below the neck inside; pelike?
a) A bit of the lower part of the lotus and palmette band around the neck; below, the top of a woman's head, left. Ornaments in a faded color (white?) in her hair. Immediately to the right of the head, the single letter, Ε. Above: Ε Ι Δ
b) Part of an uncertain pointed object; to left above: Ε
Relief contour and brown inner drawing on object; partial relief contour for ornament.
Excellent glaze, chipped.
ADDENDA A third fragment (c) added, giving more of the neck palmette border.
Context:   "Foundary Pit", N-S cut on 50m. line, area of Stoa, layer VII, with slag. Second quarter of 4th. c. B.C.
