Title:   Red Figure Askos Fragments

Description:   (a) Fragment from top, set off from wall by two unglazed grooves. Large-scale head, with long curls and a dotted tiara, to right; at right edge, part of a spiral ornament.
Thin metallic glaze.
ADDENDA Three more non-joining fragments giving most of another woman's head wearing sakkos, earring and necklace, left.
b) Upper part of face and part of the sakkos.
c) Lower half of the face and part of floral ornament in front of it.
d) Part of hair, earring, sakkos and neck; tiny part of ornament behind the head.
Context:   "Foundary Pit", N-S cut on 50m. line, area of Stoa, layer VII, with slag. Second quarter of 4th. c. B.C.
