Title:   Black Glaze Plate

Description:   Four fragments, three from the rim and one from the floor with part of the foot, from a large elaborately moulded plate. Flat floor; broad ring foot with a ridge around its inner edge; low convex rim, finished with a heavily moulded raised edge; miltos groove around its upper surface, and another below the rim outside, and a third at the junction of floor and rim.
Good glaze, a little thin on the rim.
Context:   "Foundry Pit", N-S cut on 50m. line, area of Stoa, layer VII, with slag. Second quarter of 4th. c. B.C.
